There are a lot of customizations that can be done in Active sprints to make this section more effective.

Configuring swimlanes, card colors, edit card fields, and quick filters

Active sprints is the section in the board that's monitored by team members once the sprint is running. When the number of people working on the sprint is too high, it may get difficult for them to find the issues they're working on. Let's take a look at some of the customizations done to the Scrum board. All of these options are available under the Board settings of a specific board, as shown here:
